Although Meadow View is in a rural setting, you are less than a 10 minute drive to Harrisonburg with its many restaurants, shops and points of interest. James Madison University (JMU) guests will find Meadow View conveniently located during their stay in Harrisonburg.

The Massanutten resort is a 10 minute drive with its many activities including water park, mountain biking, skiing and much more. A little further, but less than an hour are three caverns - Luray Caverns are the largest caverns in the eastern USA and a National Landmark. Some of the most spectacular creations were formed just one drip at a time, such as Giant’s Hall, vast expansive chambers decorated by predominantly golden columns, 10-stories tall.

No visit to the region is complete without experiencing Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Plan on entering Skyline Drive at Swift Run Gap, just 17 miles from the property and travel either north or south, stopping at overlooks for views of the valley below. With more than 500 miles of hiking trails, you can relax and explore the lush forests, streams, waterfalls and wildflowers.

Wrap up the day with a visit to one of the many fine dining establishments in the valley or “eat-in” while you enjoy a fire in the wood burning fireplace.
